At Mlýn vodníka Slámy, a family of organisations works together with a single purpose: to breathe life into this unique place and offer visitors experiences they'll carry with them long after they leave.
Our Role and Focus
As a non-profit association, we focus primarily on organising cultural and sporting events that celebrate and support the local community, while nurturing an awareness of our natural environment.

Grant from the Moravian-Silesian Region
In 2024/2025, in partnership with the Moravian-Silesian Region, we received a grant as part of the project 'Completion of Supporting Infrastructure for Water Tourism', which funded:
- safe entry and exit points on the Opavice river with steps
- resting benches and fire pit areas
- bicycle racks at the river access points
- an area map marking all entry and exit points

Equipment Hire
All the kit you need is available to hire right here at the estate — canoes, kayaks, paddles, life jackets, and accessories. If you'd like guidance, an instructor can be arranged.
